Was the ‘world’s greatest lover’ a librarian?

Giacomo Girolamo Casanova de Seingalt (April 2, 1725 – June 4, 1798)

The staff at the National Library of France have got their hands on the memoirs of Cassanova, the legendary Italian lover. He supposedly started writing his Historie de ma Vie, describing his exploits, in 1789, while working as a librarian.
