Groups welcomed at Council Meetings

Community and school groups from across Ipswich often attend Ipswich City Council’s “full council” meetings which take place each month.

Groups are often invited to the meetings so they can be presented with certificates, awards and grant monies, but are welcome to attend at any time to be a part of the public gallery. They can watch proceedings and then join in with the mayor and councillors in morning tea.

Pictured with Cr Pahlke and Mayor Paul Pisasale are members of the Rosewood Women’s Group who attended the September full council meeting and were recognised with a special certificate. Readers will no doubt recognise many Rosewood identities in the photo.

Other Division 10 groups that have attended full council meetings include the CWA, Amberley State School and Haigslea State School.

If your community group or school would like to visit a full council meeting, please contact the Division 10 Office to make arrangements.
